The Hard Goodbye (Sin City, Book 1)
Having already seen the movie, the plot didn't impress me. One small but important detail: the big screen work kept most of the original lines from the comic book, which is really nice because it really gives an authentic edge to it. A bit of an edgy drawing style, but it helps for the end effect.
