I liked this. Even though some parts of it were unbelievably gross, I liked it.

Joyce Carol Oates is a very graphic writer, she makes her readers really see the brutal images she portrays through short, sharp sentences that create a really good flow.

This is a story you read very fast, but you don't forget as easily.
